My face, my space, my data

Think about the personal details you expose when sharing your life on social networking sites such as MySpace, FaceBook and Bebo to name but a few. The information you divulge may seem innocent; the name of your pets and children, the ages of your children. Your favorite musician, band, film star. Pictures of your car with your Licence plate readable. Are those details used for any of the passwords you use for your web mail accounts? Bank logins? A Licence plate can expose your name and address. Be careful what you reveal and what connections social engineers and hackers can infer.

Another point is that banks and other companies ask a load of security questions, to which you give your own personal answer to be used when checking you are who you say you are. Those questions can be your favourite band, film, TV programme etc. So not just passwords and logins.
